On Friday, the Texas Longhorns announced the official fundraising site for sophomore guard Andrew Jones, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia.
Donations made through this family-approved website will go directly to the Jones family to help with medical and other family expenses as he goes through treatment. As of early Friday afternoon, nearly 70 people had donated nearly $4,000.
Since Jones isn’t receiving any visitors not approved by the family, those wishing to express support for him can do so by sending an email to AJ1@athletics.utexas.edu. Any outside groups can also send requests to that email address.
