With the Texas Bowl now nearly a week in the past, the focus for the Texas Longhorns will turn to winter conditioning and then spring practice once players return from the holiday break.
As head coach Tom Herman makes a decision on his 10th assistant and evaluates the offense after a disappointing season under coordinator Tim Beck, he’ll also look ahead to spring practice.
Here’s what the depth chart could look like with the addition of nine early enrollees, an unusually large group that will provide critical depth this spring.

Compared to last spring, when Texas had 16 scholarship offensive linemen, Derek Warehime’s group was hardest hit by attrition after four players opted to graduate and give up football.
The defensive line also thinned out significantly, though those losses were mitigated by the fact that Todd Orlando moved away from using two defensive tackles during the season.
And, of course, this is a look at how the depth chart may look at the start of spring practice, not where it will be after the team gets going.
