Head coach David Pierce and the Texas Longhorns baseball program continued the steady beat of commitments on Tuesday by landing 2020 Nacogdoches right-handed pitcher Jacek Karczewski:

Something about that burnt orange always felt like home! Excited and blessed to announce that I’ve committed to continue my education while playing baseball at the University of Texas. Can’t wait to be a part of the #40acres family! #HookEm pic.twitter.com/VTh0hQ4HcQ— jacek k (@jacek_k09) October 24, 2018
Listed at 6’3 and 170 pounds, Karczewski doesn’t have the pure height of some recent Texas additions, but he does have a lanky frame that will add velocity as he adds strength once arriving on the Forty Acres.
This summer, Karczewski’s fastball was sitting between 82 and 85 miles per hour and topping out at 87, with a changeup and curveball in the mid-70s.
As the video below suggests, Karczewski has been on the Longhorns radar for some time and the staff clearly liked his progress enough to take his commitment.
