Is Sam I Am for real?

I read a lot of comments on this site debating Shane Vs. Sam. Whether is the argument that Sam was the better fit last year with an o-line in shambles, and that if Shane were to play with this line he would sling it all over the place. I personally feel that Sam could be somewhere between Collin Klein and Tim Tebow before its all said and done.
He certainly fits size wise, as he's basically pound for pound and inch for inch as Tim Tebow was his senior year. I'm not sure if players like Lamar Jackson, Jake Fromm, and Jameis Winston lighting it up immediately has soured some peoples expectations. Vince Young, Colt McCoy, and even Baker Mayfield took a couple of years to mature into what people would consider college all stars. From my understanding, most QBs mature the most between their sophomore and junior years, and from what Sam is putting together so far, hes complete body of work has been impressive compared to most true sophomores. In fact just going by the numbers, if you take Sam's stats this year and project it to the rest of the year, it would basically equal Colt McCoys sophomore outing. Sam's current line of 65.6% completion rate / 1499 yards / 11 TDs / 225 rushing years / 6 TDs puts him at 3250 yards / 24 TDs / 488 rushing yards / 13 rushing TDs. Colt McCoys Sophomore season was 3303 / 22 / 510 / 4. I'm ok with this. \m/
