A head injury in the second quarter forced senior safety Brandon Jones out of his final regular season game due to a head injury.

Jones fielded a punt from the Kansa Jayhawks and was on the receiving end of a helmet-to-helmet hit that caused him to leave the game. He was evaluated at halftime and it was determined that he would not return to play.

Jones started the game at safety for the Longhorns after missing the last three starts due to injury.
