For the first time since Colt McCoy led the charge against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in 2009, the Texas Longhorns are heading to the Big 12 title game. Unlike 2009, it’s a foe they have already faced this season, the Oklahoma Sooners.
The first meeting between in October became an instant classic, with the Longhorns weathering a late barrage from Oklahoma and Heisman contender Kyler Murray to come away with a 48-45 win. Since, the Sooners have been on a tear, averaging 52.67 points per game, including a 59-56 thriller over the West Virginia Mountaineers to claim the top spot in the conference.
With so much on the line, the health of quarterback Sam Ehlinger is once again a question. Against Kansas, Ehlinger struggled with his accuracy, leading many to question if his shoulder was truly healthy.
As the Longhorns prepare for their most-important game of the season, Tom Herman addresses the media in his weekly press conference on Longhorn Network and TexasSports.com.
