The Texas Longhorns coaches aren’t on the road this week like a lot of other programs due to preparations for the Big 12 Championship Game on Saturday against the Oklahoma Sooners, but the staff will host a key commit on Tuesday when Houston North Forest offensive tackle Javonne Shepherd visits:
Austin, Texas in the A.M. tomorrow with Big @JavonneShepherd .

The 6’6, 346-pounder committed to Texas in late July after numerous visits to Austin and College Station. Since that pledge, Shepherd took another trip to Texas A&M in October and has been the subject of speculation about whether he might flip to the Aggies.
A consensus four-star prospect, Shepherd is a key piece in the recruiting class, so any time the Longhorns can get him on campus is a positive because he’s not exactly the most solid commit in the class.
