The first day of the early signing period will feature a decision from Grossmont College offensive tackle Jay Williams, who announced on Monday that he will make his commitment at 11 a.m. Central on Dec. 19:
I will be announcing my commitment and signing on December 19th at Grossmont College at 9am! @GrossmontFB https://t.co/vC7Jp5ypbm

The 6’6, 290-pounder who was once a walk-on defensive end at San Diego State is now a coveted offensive tackle with nearly 20 offers.
Over the weekend, Williams took an official visit to Texas and came away raving about the experience.

However, co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Herb Hand opted not to offer Williams on his visit, a decision that comes as a little bit of a surprise.
With an official visit to Florida State looming next weekend, Hand and the Texas staff will need to make a decision in the coming days about whether to extend that offer, as the Seminoles have a massive need for offensive linemen and currently loom as the favorite to land Williams.
The Longhorns currently have two offensive line pledges in the 2019 class and have been conducting extensive evaluations of junior college prospects in addition to hosting Butler graduate transfer offensive tackle Tommy Kennedy over the weekend.
