On Sunday, Texas confirmed the report:

A former three-star prospect out of Baton Rouge (La.) Dunham School, Williams arrived in Austin revered as an elite physical talent who played quarterback and defensive end in high school. Williams signed with the Longhorns as the nation’s No. 527 player and No. 38 athlete before making the transition to a full-time defensive lineman in Austin.
Williams didn’t see the field throughout his freshman season.
