Despite a surprise official visit to Austin over the weekend, Katy Taylor offensive tackle Andrew Coker maintained his commitment to the TCU Horned Frogs and signed with head coach Gary Patterson’s program instead of the Texas Longhorns.

Coker originally committed to TCU in late May despite picking up an offer from Texas earlier in the month. A pledge made the previous summer to Florida didn’t hold up — he had reopened his commitment back in January of 2018.
A consensus three-star prospect, Coker is ranked as the No. 563 prospect overall, the No. 42 offensive tackle, and the No. 69 prospect in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
