With Texas Longhorns co-offensive coordinator Herb Hand in Indianapolis on Thursday to meet with Butler Bulldogs graduate transfer offensive tackle Tommy Kennedy, Hand used the opportunity to visit Ben Davis and extend an offer to mammoth offensive tackle Dawand Jones:

The 6’8, 360-pounder is current set to announce in less than 11 days, so it’s late in his recruitment. USC has already received an official visit from Jones, while Florida State is set to host him on December 15. In November, Jones visited Michigan and Ohio State and picked up offers — he’s seen his recruitment take off relatively late in the process.
A consensus three-star prospect, Jones is ranked as the No. 998 nationally, No. 84 offensive tackle, and the No. 13 player in Indiana, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
