Final Thoughts
Texas basketball has officially gone sideways.
After a strong showing in Las Vegas, including a top-10 win over North Carolina, the Longhorns have lost three straight and looked completely disorganized in each contest.
The Shaka doubters are out in full-force. With Purdue coming to Austin, the restlessness from Horns fans will only grow louder if Texas lose yet again.
It’s a long season, but this Texas team — which a lot of people were high on coming into the season — doesn’t look much better than any of Shaka’s previous squads. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season will play out.
I’ll be surprised if a change is made — especially with the money tied up in Shaka — but missing the tournament would certainly expedite the process.
