Yet again, the Texas Longhorns have thrown their name into the mix with one of the nation’s elite 2020 cornerback prospects.
On Friday, the latest invitation went out to five-star Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy cornerback Fred Davis II, he announced on Twitter.

With Texas jumping into the mix, Davis’ offer list now features 20 programs from around the country, including Alabama, Miami, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Penn State. Furthermore, Davis is only the sixth 2020 cornerback prospect to notch an offer from the Longhorns, but in joining the likes of Elias Ricks, Kelee Ringo, and Dwight McGlothern, Texas now has invitations out to each of the top four cornerbacks in the 2020 class.
Thus far, Miami owns each of Davis three Crystal Ball projections.
At 6’2, 177 pounds, Davis is ranked as the nation’s No. 26 player, the No. 3 cornerback, and the No. 1 overall player in Florida, per the 247Sports Composite.
