Key Texas Longhorns cornerback target Marcus Banks announced on Sunday evening that he won’t announce his commitment on March 3 as previously planned:
I will not be making my Decision on March 3rd , Need more time ... God Bless .— Marcus Banks (@MarcusBanks1k) February 19, 2018
Banks made the decision shortly after he left the 40 Acres following a Junior Day visit with the coaching staff.

The Longhorns are currently considered the heavy favorites with Banks, holding all five of his 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions. Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M round out his top group, with the Aggies having hosted Banks for a Junior Day in early February.
After taking six defensive backs in the 2018 recruiting class, Texas and position coaches Craig Naivar and Jason Washington will have to combat the loaded depth chart and a desperate A&M program that largely failed to address its own needs in the secondary.
So far, despite those challenges, it looks like the ‘Horns are well positioned to land Banks when he does decide to commit.
