Fans will get a preview look at the 2018 version of Texas Longhorns football on April 21 at 6:30 p.m. CT when the ‘Horns take the field at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium for the annual Orange-White game, the school announced on Tuesday.
The program is billing it as an “Under the Lights” event and, indeed, holding the game in the evening is a rare occurrence. Perhaps that could boost attendance for an event that will also feature a host of top targets in recruiting.
The scrimmage, which will feature the nine enrollees from the 2018 signing class, will cap an eventful day in Bevo’s backyard — softball starts it off with a game against Oklahoma State at 12 p.m., then the baseball team takes the field at the Disch at 2:30 to play New Orleans.
At a later date, the school plans to release more information.
