NCAA Basketball: Mississippi at Texas Brendan Maloney-USA TODAY Sports

In this week’s Longhorn Republic, Gerald Goodridge and Kyle Carpenter talk about the FBI’s findings that current and former Texas Longhorns Eric Davis Jr., Prince Ibeh and Isaiah Taylor all received improper benefits from an agent (1:50).

Then, they cover another up-and-down week from Texas basketball, refusing to talk about the loss to the Kansas State Wildcats (8:52) and getting excited about the contributions of Jacob Young and Jericho Sims against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the absence of Davis and Mohamed Bamba (13:00).

We quickly preview the women’s basketball team’s Senior Night matchup against the Oklahoma Sooners (22:00), recap the week that was in Texas baseball (22:40) and look at where Reggie Hemphill-Mapps will land (26:15).

As always, the boys honor Big Bertha and Bang the Drum (27:25). Kyle shows some much-needed love to the Texas Swimming and Diving, while Gerald looks to the coaching future of Frank Okam.
