As the string of spring visits continues on a weekly basis, the Texas Longhorns are hosting Mansfield Legacy safety Jalen Catalon on Saturday:

The 5’9, 180-pounder picked up his offer from Texas back in October, during the midst of a junior season that saw him shine on offense, defense, and special teams. In addition to a punt return touchdown, he notched more than 100 tackles, four forced fumbles, three interceptions, while throwing for more than 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns and running for more than 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Catalon now holds close to 25 offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Missouri, Nebraska, Penn State, Stanford and TCU. His top group of schools right now include Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas, with Clemson and Oklahoma currently holding his 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions.
Since Catalon wasn’t on campus for the Junior Days last month, getting him to the 40 Acres is a positive develop. And while it’s a bit too early to determine the top targets for the Longhorns at safety, Catalon is certainly in that mix as a guy who would be an excellent addition to the class because of his physicality.
A consensus four-star prospect, Catalon is ranked as the No. 156 player nationally, the No. 8 safety, and the No. 22 player in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
