4-star CB Erick Young releases top six schools

The Longhorns did not make the cut.

In the immediate aftermath of an official visit to College Station for last weekend’s spring game, Fort Bend Bush cornerback Erick Young released his list of top six schools:

The Texas Longhorns didn’t make the list when a surge following Young’s attendance at a February Junior Day never amounted to any sustained momentum for the Longhorns.

Now the Aggies and the Sooners are the favorites, with Oklahoma receiving most of the recent 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions after Texas A&M took the lead in February.

As with several other recent recruitments, Texas failing to survive Young’s cut was hardly surprising, but it does put more pressure on the staff not to miss on the key targets at defensive back.

Right now, those players are Mansfield Legacy safety Jalen Catalon, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson safety Kenyatta Watson II, and Spring Dekaney cornerback Marcus Banks.
