Texas will be without 11 players for the Orange-White game

The Horns didn’t suffer any longterm injuries during the spring, but the team is banged up.

The Texas Longhorns released the team’s official injury report on Friday for the Orange-White game at 6:30 p.m. Central on Longhorn Network.

Two new names were on the list, as defensive tackle Chris Nelson recently underwent arthroscopic surgery on his elbow and safety Caden Sterns suffered a knee injury in practice on Tuesday. Nelson is expected to return by this summer.

The other players who will miss the spring-ending scrimmage are running back Kirk Johnson (ankle), running back Tristian Houston (knee), running back Cameron Townsend (ankle), tight end Cade Brewer (knee), offensive linemen Mikey Grandy (concussion), linebacker Gary Johnson (groin), Edwin Freeman (triceps), cornerback Davante Davis (ankle), and PJ Locke III (stinger).
