Another visit weekend, another prospect impressed by the Texas Longhorns.
Nolan Catholic hybrid edge rusher NaNa Osafo-Mensah made his way to the Forty Acres last weekend and came away impressed:

As the 6’4, 227-pounder noted, he’ll be back for an official visit in early May, just days before he makes his decision on the 19th.
Critically, the Longhorns should have the last say with Osafo-Mensah, as he plans on taking his the official visit with the Fighting Irish in April 13. At the moment, the consensus four-star prospect doesn’t have any other official visits scheduled.
Getting Osafo-Mensah on campus was a significant development for head coach Tom Herman and his staff — Notre Dame was considered the overwhelming favorite heading into the weekend, but now it seems as if Texas has some momentum, even though all 14 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions still favor the Fighting Irish.
As the nation’s No. 6 weak-side defensive end, Osafo-Mensah looms as the top target for the Longhorns at the B-backer position, making him a critical target.
In the weeks since National Signing Day, the staff has done a remarkable job of getting key target on campus and then making major moves with those prospects in the immediate aftermath. Osafo-Mensah looks like he’s simply the latest recruit to elevate the Longhorns after spending time around the program.
With just a handful of weeks until the talented pass rusher makes his decision, now it’s time to close.
