Even though linebacker Anthony Wheeler did not have an outstanding junior season, Pro Football Focus graded him as one of the top returning tacklers in the Big 12. “When the Dallas Skyline product was in a position to attempt a tackle, PFF College graded Wheeler as such that his efficiency rate is the highest among any returning Big 12 inside linebacker who played at least 50 percent of their team’s snaps last season.”

How are opponents trending during the summer? Just like 2017, the Horns are facing one of college football’s toughest schedules this fall. According to 247 Sports, Maryland should have a better team than last season, but Oklahoma should be worse.

Lincoln Riley better hope he doesn’t have to play Georgia next season.

Baylor denies everything. “The university said the lawsuit has been overtaken by unsubstantiated allegations and “rank speculation.” The school said McCaw had no personal knowledge of the matters being discussed.”

Paul Finebaum is a popular man. “Negotiations between Paul Finebaum and ESPN have heated up, but a powerful new team is bidding for the possible free agent’s services: Fox Sports, and its affiliated Big Ten Network.”
