Two more significant injuries during preseason camp for the Texas Longhorns resulted in the school declaring freshmen linebacker Ayodele Adeoye and linebacker/safety DeMarvion Overshown out for the season opener on September 1 against the Maryland Terrapins.
Both players, who are expected to contribute this season, suffered knee injuries during Saturday’s scrimmage, the first of preseason camp. Junior linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch is already out for an unknown period of time as a result of a strained pectoral muscle.
On Wednesday, the medical staff revealed that both players will miss an extended period of time as they continue to receive treatment and rehabilitate those injuries.
The school did not provide an update on senior cornerback Davante Davis, who suffered a hamstring injury in the scrimmage.
