LOOK: Texas will wear black cleats and socks at DKR this season

Don’t worry, the icy whites on the road won’t change.

“Back in black.”

The Texas Longhorns will once again pair black cleats and socks with the burnt orange uniform tops the team wears during home games at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium this season, the school revealed on Thursday:

Texas has worn black cleats in the past — the video above shows Ricky Williams, Brian Orakpo, and Colt McCoy making plays wearing them. The last time the team wore black cleats, in our recollection, was in 2015 against Kansas when the team wore throwback uniforms to honor Freddie Steinmark.

Now they’re back once again.

On the road, however, the iconic all-white look will stay the same:
