DKR Texas Memorial Stadium

In keeping consistent with a notable theme of Texas Athletic Director Chris Del Conte’s young tenure at Texas, the university is continuing to explore options in hopes of improving the game day experience at Darrell K. Royal—Texas Memorial Stadium.

On Tuesday, Texas introduced the concept of Bevo Blvd., which will line San Jacinto Blvd. with food trucks, giant LED screens, and much more in hopes of improving the tailgating experience around the stadium. Just one short day later, the Texas introduced Longhorn City Limits, which will feature live concerts and much more on the LBJ lawn.

With the latest addition of Longhorn City Limits to pair with Bevo Blvd., Texas fans will be able to enjoy festivities, fresh food, free concerts, and football all packaged into a single game day experience.

In the words of Del Conte, it will be “Texas game day like you’ve never seen before.”

The Longhorns first home game of the 2018 season will be on Sept. 8 with Texas set to welcome Tulsa. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. CT.
