Recruits react to Texas’ 31-16 win over No. 17 TCU

The Longhorns left an impression on Texas targets in attendance yet again.

On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns knocked off the No. 17 TCU Horned Frogs, 31-16, to notch the program’s second ranked win in as many weeks.

Following the Longhorns latest win, which lifted Texas to 3-1 (1-0) and now has the Horns positioned at No. 18 nationally, Burnt Orange Nation spoke with a handful of the recruits who were in attendance to get their reactions.

Tiago Sumbo — 3-star DT — Katy Seven Lakes: ”Texas was waiting for TCU, especially in the first quarter and Second quarter. Then they shut down TCU in the third quarter. The defense stepped up a lot. Overall, it was pretty good game.”

Reggie Brown — 3-star TE — Legacy the School of Sports & Science: “I had a great time in Austin. I grew up there before I moved to Houston. The game was exciting and the stadium was electric. I really enjoyed it and thought they had a great game plan against TCU. Hook’em.”

Jakobi Holland — Unranked RB — Tomball: “All positive vibes. Love the coaching staff and a great atmosphere. It’s a place I can see myself growing as a player and individual.”
