Before the start of the 2018-19 basketball season for the Texas Longhorns men’s and women’s teams, the Horns will host this year’s version of the Texas Tip-Off on October 17 in Gregory Gym, the school announced in late September.

The event is free and open to the public, but only the first 3,000 people in line will receive admittance. Fans who want to attend can find free parking at the Brazos Garage. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Central, with the event starting at 6:30 with team introductions and lasting for a little bit less than two hours. The first 1,000 fans to enter Gregory Gym will receive a free Texas Tip-Off t-shirt.
Longhorn Network will televise the event following a 30-minute episode of Texas GameDay.

The school also schedule a Fan Fest for before the Texas Tip-Off, which opens at 4:30 and will feature food trucks, interactive basketball games, a video game truck, and DJ music. After the event, there will be an autograph session and a silent disco.
