The quest to stock up on defenders for the 2020 recruiting cycle continued Saturday when the Texas Longhorns extended an offer to talented linebacker Brennon Scott.
The offer came as Scott was part of a massive recruiting weekend for the Longhorns, hosting several high-priority commits and targets. Scott is now the first outside linebacker from the state of Texas offered by the Longhorns for this cycle.
The four-star defender out of Bishop Dunne (Dallas) currently holds 23 offers, six in-state, including the Texas A&M Aggies, who currently hold the only crystal ball prediction. The Longhorns are coming off of signing nine in the 2019 recruiting cycle, but Scott would be another big huge piece to Todd Orlando’s defense.
A consensus four-star prospect, Scott is ranked the No. 294 player nationally, the No. 24 outside linebacker, and the No. 35 player in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
