The Longhorns major unofficial visit weekend left a positive impression on numerous recruits.

This past weekend the Texas Longhorns football staff had a great deal of star-studded elite prospects on campus for unofficial visits. The players and their family members were able to receive a ton of information from positional coaches, players, and academic advisors. Many of these recruits were also able to attend Saturday’s basketball game against Oklahoma, which the Longhorns won, 75-72.

BON caught up with several Texas targets that were on campus this past weekend. Here were a few of their thoughts:

2020 — Bryson Washington — 4-star S — C.E. King: “It was amazing, man. I had a great time with the players, they were like brothers, man like I was at home in a sense. It was great.”

2020 — Brennon Scott — 4-star OLB — Bishop Dunne: “Texas was live. I enjoyed everything about it. Meeting everyone was great and also how they they kept it real with me on why Texas will help me better myself as a man and as a football player.”

2021 — Reuben Fatheree — 4-star OT — Richmond Foster: “It was very informative. My parents and I got to discuss academics with their advisors and I was able to talk with Coach Hand and some of the players in more detail.”

2020 — Jake Majors — 3-star OL — Prosper: “I enjoyed hanging with Coach Herman and Hand for the day and getting to see Logan Parr, Hudson Card, and a few other guys! Everything positive coming from the visit and I hope to head back soon.”

2020 — Kelvontay Dixon — 3-star ATH — Carthage: “It was amazing. “Everything about it was amazing.”

2021 — Derrick Harris Jr. — Unranked OLB — New Caney: “It was very good. I really liked the place and the coaching staff. Texas seems like a very good place to be right now.”

2021 — Cullen Montgomery — Unranked OT — Bellaire Episcopal: “Had a great time talking to coach and, I could definitely see myself going there in 2021.”
