Despite the fact that there is only one remaining uncommitted target for the Texas Longhorns in the 2019 recruiting class, there will be some drama on National Signing Day, as Houston North Forest offensive tackle Javonne Shepherd will conduct his signing ceremony:

Announced on Wednesday, the final, official decision from Shepherd will come down to Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Texas.

Committed to the Longhorns since last summer and coming off an official visit to Austin last weekend, Shepherd has always taken recent official visits to College Station, Athens, and Tuscaloosa after declining to sign during the early period.

Texas A&M was the primary competition when the 6’6, 327-pounder gave his pledge late last July and likely remains the primary competition as Shepherd prepares to put pen to paper to sign his National Letter of Intent.
