NCAA Football: Sugar Bowl-Georgia vs Texas Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

Now that football is officially wrapped up, we take some time to get caught up with the Texas basketball teams (2:37). After a few disappointing losses, Texas has managed to tighten up and are 2-0 to start Big 12 play, in spite of the struggles of Kerwin Roach II. How have Jaxson Hayes, Dylan Osetkowski and the rest of the Texas bigs stepped up as the Longhorn guards find their footing?

It wouldn’t be a Longhorn Republic podcast without looking at the football team. Collin Johnson announced his return and quarterback Sam Ehlinger is ready to jump into a junior season. What does the offense look like around them and how can Texas replace more than 200 starts on defense (19:19)?

We also take some time to get caught up on the news we missed during bowl season (54:51) and close the show out with Bang the Drum (58:49).
