As the Texas Longhorns dropped in both national polls on Sunday following Saturday’s 34-27 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners in the Cotton Bowl, so too did the Horns drop in SB Nation’s FanPulse Top 25 on Monday — falling from No. 11 to No. 14.
Burnt Orange Nation readers maintained a little bit more confidence in the Horns than national voters, slotting Texas at No. 13, ahead of undefeated Boise State and undefeated Minnesota. Overall fan confidence declined, though, dropping from 96.4 percent to 82.8 percent, by far the lowest of the season.
In the Heisman race, FanPulse voters slotted LSU quarterback Joe Burrow as the favorite at 35.2 percent, with Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts in second place at 24.4 percent.
