Report: Texas freshman OT Javonne Shepherd enters Transfer Portal

Per Joseph Cook of Inside Texas, freshman offensive tackle Javonne Shepherd has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

Shepherd appeared in the Louisiana Tech game earlier this year at offensive tackle, but has since not logged any snaps and was expected to redshirt. Shepherd previously was a four star signee that arrived on campus this summer.

UPDATE: BON has been able to confirm that Shepherd’s name is in the portal at this time. Shepherd could always opt to stay and remove his name, but as of now it looks like he plans on testing the waters.
