There’s a new No. 1 team in the SB Nation FanPulse Top 25 for Week 9 — the LSU Tigers. Meanwhile, the Texas Longhorns fell out of the poll for the first time this season following Saturday’s embarrassing loss to the TCU Horned Frogs.
Texas was ranked No. 15 last week after the narrow win over Kansas and also dropped out of the Top 25 in the voting by Burnt Orange Nation readers.

In the rest of the Big 12, Oklahoma dropped to eighth after losing to Kansas State, while Baylor continued to move up in the poll while on a bye week due to other losses in the top 10.
Fans voted the Wildcats toppling the Sooners as the most surprising result of the week, but the Longhorns losing to the Horned Frogs also garnered just under three percent of the vote.
Fan confidence was at 100 percent in the immediate aftermath of the seven-point defeat by LSU, but has fallen off a cliff in the last three weeks, dropping to 82.8 percent after the Cotton Bowl, then 53.4 percent last week, and now landing at 11.9 percent.
