After advancing to a sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance last season, the Texas Longhorns women’s basketball team was ranked No. 15 nationally in the AP Preseason Poll released on Wednesday.

Head coach Karen Aston’s team won 23 last season and returns senior guard Sug Sutton and Lashann Higgs, as well as senior forward Joyner Holmes. Those three players led the team in scoring last season, though Higgs only played in four games due to an ACL injury that ended her 2018-19 season and extended her collegiate career.

The Horns open the season in Tampa against UCF on Nov. 8.
