On Wednesday, the No. 18 ranked Texas Longhorns defeated conference foe Oklahoma State in the championship match of the 2019 East Lake Cup (Atlanta, GA).
Freshman Travis Vick sunk a five-foot par putt on the 18th hole of his match to secure the championship. Sophomore Parker Coody and senior Spencer Soosman were the other two match winners for Texas,

After failing to place within the top three in each of their previous four tournaments, the Longhorns ended fall play on an extremely positive note in Atlanta and will carry that momentum into the offseason, as an expectation-filled 2020 spring season awaits this team.
“All the positives that are going to come out of this particular semester are really good and we get to enjoy [it] just a little bit more because of this win. The kids will all take an unbelievable amount of experience [away] and pressure was significant,” head coach John Fields said.
