College Gameday chooses LSU-Florida over Red River Rivalry

The Longhorns missed out on a chance to host the pregame show for the second time this year.

The Texas Longhorns will not have the ESPN crew on-site when they square off against the Oklahoma Sooners, as ESPN’s College Gameday will head to Baton Rouge for the matchup between the LSU Tigers and the Florida Gators.

After the Gators topped the Auburn Tigers 24-13, setting up a top-10 matchup in the SEC, the weekly pregame show made the announcement on Twitter. The LSU-Florida game will be broadcast as the night game on ESPN, while the Longhorns kickoff early on Fox.

College Gameday was on hand at the Cotton Bowl a year ago when the Longhorns came away with a three-point victory over their rival.
