Texas moves up to No. 11 in the latest FanPulse Top 25

Longhorns fans remain extremely confident in the program’s direction.

SB Nation’s FanPulse Top 25 is now in lockstep with both of the major polls, at least for the Texas Longhorns, as head coach Tom Herman’s team moved up one spot from No. 12 to No. 11 following Saturday’s 42-31 win over the West Virginia Mountaineers.

This week’s opponent, Oklahoma, comes in at No. 6 in the poll.

Texas fans, understandably, are a little more confident in the team’s quality, ranking the Longhorns as the No. 9 team nationally, two spots higher than the voters as a whole. Baylor also made an appearance in those rankings at No. 25.

With the Longhorns sitting at 4-1 following three comfortable victories, a closer win over the Cowboys, and a close loss to the Tigers, Texas fans are feeling extremely confident in the program’s direction.

That fan confidence probably looks a little bit different now than it might have after the season-opening loss to Maryland last year and the 28-21 win over Tulsa, right?
