Three Texas Longhorns team captains will participate in the 2020 Senior Bowl this January in Alabama, as wide receiver Collin Johnson, wide receiver Devin Duvernay, and safety Brandon Jones all accepted invites over the weekend.

One of the top 10 most productive receivers in Texas history, Johnson has missed three games this season and is once again dealing with a hamstring issue, but has 35 catches for 497 yards and two touchdowns. For his career, he’s caught 185 passes for 2,562 yards and 14 touchdowns.

After moving from flanker to the slot this season, Duvernay has enjoyed a breakout campaign that has him as one of the nation’s most prolific pass catchers — he’s second nationally in overall receptions (78) and receptions per game (8.7) while racking up 910 yards and seven touchdowns. Of those 78 catches, 17 have converted third downs. He also ran for a touchdown against West Virginia.

Jones leads the team in tackles with 61, including 4.5 tackles for loss. He’s also broken up three passes and has two interceptions this season. Against Kansas State, Jones led the team with six tackles, forced a fumble, and had a 53-yard punt return that set up a touchdown.
