Despite a length injury report on Monday for the Texas Longhorns, most of the players who were banged up after last weekend’s game against the Baylor Bears were dressed and going through warmups before Friday’s contest against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

However, senior wide receiver Collin Johnson (hamstring) and freshman running back Jordan Whittington (sports hernia) were not dressed and will not play against the Red Raiders. Johnson will miss his third game in a row and his sixth game this season due to hamstring issues, while Whittington hasn’t played since the season opener.

A handful of players suffered ankle injuries last week, including sophomore running back Keaontay Ingram, sophomore left tackle Sam Cosmi, sophomore cornerback Jalen Green, and sophomore safety DeMarvion Overshown. Of those players, only Green appeared limited, as he was not working with the starters at cornerback, sophomores Kobe Boyce and D’Shawn Jamison. Sophomore Anthony Cook remains out with a knee injury.

Senior wide receiver Devin Duvernay (knee contusion), sophomore safety BJ Foster (shoulder), and sophomore linebacker Juwan Mitchell also went through warmups without any apparent limitations.

Several players who were not listed on the injury report who will be honored for Senior Night were not dressed — running back Kirk Johnson, nose tackle D’Andre Christmas-Giles, and nose tackle Gerald Wilbon.

As for Texas Tech, the Red Raiders will be without their best player, linebacker Jordyn Brooks (shoulder).
