The Texas Longhorns still look to be in the market for another running back for the 2020 class, as today they extended an offer to Dalton (Ga.) running back Jahmyr Gibbs.

Gibbs is committed to Georgia Tech, but has official visits lined up to see Ohio State and Florida before taking his final visit to see the Yellow Jackets at the end of January.
The 5’11, 194-pounder is one of the best backs I have laid eyes on this cycle and he didn’t even have a profile on 247Sports when I first laid eyes on his Hudl back in January (!!!). Gibbs capped off his high school career with a monster senior campaign in which he rushed for 2,554 yards and 40 touchdowns.
This kid is a certified stud and unfortunately for Texas they are probably arriving a little late to the party.
A consensus four-star prospect, Gibbs is ranked as the No. 170 player nationally and the No. 16 running back.
