The offer comes just days ahead of Crawford’s first trip to the Forty Acres, as he’s slated to visit the Longhorns for Junior Day this weekend.
With Texas now officially in the mix, Crawford is up to 10 total scholarship invitations, with all but one of which — Stephen F. Austin — being awarded within the past month. Furthermore, Crawford’s Texas offer becomes his third of the week.
Collectively, Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas State, and Houston are among the programs with offers out to the East Texas standout.
As a junior, Crawford excelled all over the field for John Tyler. In addition to totaling 269 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries, Crawford hauled in three receptions for 78 yards and another score. On the other side of the ball at cornerback, Crawford amassed 30 total tackles, 12 pass deflections, and two interceptions.
A 5’10, 170-pound prospect, Crawford is currently ranked as the nation’s No. 836 player, No. 74 athlete, and as the No. 116 player in Texas, per the 247Sports Composite.
