The Texas Longhorns’ first 2021 tight end offer is now on the table, as the Tom Herman’s program has presented an offer to Houston Dekaney product Var’Keyes Gumms, he announced on Twitter.

Gumms visited the Longhorns last weekend for Junior Day.
A prospect from the same high school program that produced former four-star talent and current Texas tight end Malcolm Epps, Gumms’ offer list isn’t a lengthy one, but the couple names now includes are notable, nevertheless. Gumms’ Texas offer becomes just his second to date, as LSU offered earlier this week on Feb. 19.
As a sophomore last season, the 6’3, 230-pound Gumms hauled in 10 receptions for 144 yards and four touchdowns.
Gumms is currently unranked, per the 247Sports Composite.
