If you haven’t gotten enough of Texas Longhorns baseball the past few days (or maybe you’re looking to distract yourself from Longhorns basketball), the No. 22-ranked Horns take the field for a second night in a row against the visiting UTSA Roadrunners on Tuesday evening at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
Texas leads the all time series 25-5, including a 19-3 mark in Austin.
David Pierce’s squad is looking for its seventh victory of the season after taking Tuesday’s game against Sam Houston State, 10-3. In case you missed it, you can read up on that game here.
UTSA, meanwhile, will be looking to improve to 6-3. After starting off the season 0-2, the Roadrunners have rattled off victories in five of their last six games, including three straight victories to close out a weekend series against Dartmouth.
The Roadrunners sport an incredibly experienced, veteran stable of starting pitchers and feature some young hitters that have led the way for the team in slugging. This game should provide an excellent opportunity for Texas to gather experience and serve as a good final tune-up before this weekend’s series against LSU in Austin.
The starting pitchers have yet to be announced for either team.
Coverage is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. Central. You can catch the action live at the Disch, on Longhorn Network, or on 104.9 FM the Horn.
Right back at it! First pitch at 7 p.m. tonight.
