For the nation’s No. 3 prospect and top-rated inside linebacker, the Texas Longhorns are one of 12 programs still under consideration by Upland (Calif.) standout Justin Flowe, who released his list of top 12 schools on Tuesday evening:

The other remaining contenders are Arizona State, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, and USC. The Trojans are still widely considered the leader for Flowe, but he’s also been on a tour through the Southeast and official visits could significantly dislodge the home state program from that perceived position.
The connections of 2019 signee De’Gabriel Floyd in the state and the increased presence of the Longhorns there were supposed to land a visit from Flowe during March. However, that visit never happened, so Texas needs to get him on campus to have a significant shot at landing his services and that may require beating out a host of other programs on this list to receive an official visit.
