Texas Quidditch championships this weekend

Since there is a dearth of news at the moment (NIT is over), I thought I would just share that Texas is playing for all the marbles this weekend in Quidditch (April 13-14th), in Round Rock:

Last year, Texas reached the national finals, where they got beat by Rochester. Texas is basically the home team, so there is a decent home-field audience in Round Rock. I think Texas had a trumpet and a trombone player in the stands. Very fascinating new sport.

Texas got a good pool draw in the first round. Their stiffest competition is from Baylor (everyone else I think they can beat fairly easily. Baylor, too, actually). Rochester and Texas State are in different pools. You can livestream those games from your home computer on Sunday for free--just go to that website.
