Texas bats remain silent as Longhorns fall 1-0 to Kansas

Blair Henley pitched a gem but unfortunately received zero run support from his offense.

After a disappointing loss on Friday night, the Longhorns failed to do something that we have seen them do countless times this season.

Respond and bounce back.

The opportunity was certainly there, as Blair Henley was masterful this afternoon, going the full eight innings and allowing just the lone first-inning run.

Sadly, the Texas offense continues to struggle at the plate as today they were only able to muster two hits off of Kansas starting pitcher Ryan Cy who needed just 86 pitches to record all 27 outs.

Todays game marks the sixth time this season that Texas has been shutout.

That’s all I got folks. It hurts now but I can promise you things will get better.

In the meantime, Texas will look to avoid the sweep tomorrow with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. central.

Horns up.
