Texas offers in-state 2022 RB Emeka Megwa

The Forth Worth Nolan Catholic ball carrier should prove to be one of the top talents in his class.

SB Nation: Joe Hamilton

On Tuesday evening, the Texas Longhorns extended their first offer to a 2022 offensive talent, with the invitation going out to already-coveted Fort Worth Nolan Catholic running back Emeka Megwa.

Despite having just one season of high school football beneath his belt, Megwa is already a tremendous physical prospect at 6’0, 200 pounds, and his offer list reflects that, as the Longhorns join programs such as LSU, Florida, Baylor, Nebraska, and Arkansas to bring his total to 12 offers.

Thus far, Megwa has already visited Texas A&M and North Texas this offseason.

During his debut season among the high school ranks, Megwa produced 642 yards and five touchdowns on 101 carries.

Megwa now joins fellow D-FW native Bear Alexander, a mammoth defensive tackle out of Dallas Skyline, as the only 2022 prospects to notch a Texas offer to date.
