Texas picked to finish second in Big 12 Preseason Media Poll

For a seventh straight year, the Sooners are the favorite to win the conference.

Coming off of the program’s first 10-win season since 2009 and a Sugar Bowl victory over the Georgia Bulldogs, the Texas Longhorns were picked to finish second in the Big 12 in the Preseason Media Poll released on Wednesday by the conference.

The Longhorns received the nine first-place votes that weren’t cast for the Sooners, once again picked to win the conference for the seventh straight year. Oklahoma has won the last four Big 12 titles, with the most recent victory coming over Texas in Arlington last December.
