If not, let today be your official start — there are only 50 days remaining until the season finally begins. The official Twitter account is celebrating with a flashback to last season’s Cotton Bowl win. And why not? It was a glorious day.

With Big 12 Media Days looming at the start of next week and preseason camp set to begin shortly thereafter, the worst of the offseason is already over. There are only seven weeks and one day until the Horns take the field at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

So thank goodness it’s Friday and thank goodness there are only 50 days left until Texas football kicks off the most highly-anticipated season in about a decade.
