After missing out on in-state prospect Jahari Rogers to the Florida Gators earlier this week, the Texas Longhorns made a quick dive into the Sunshine State and offered another amazingly talented athlete that’s slated to make his mark in the secondary at the next level.
Wednesday evening, Tom Herman and his staff put an offer on the table for Orlando (Fla.) Jones cornerback Dominick Hill. He took to Twitter to post his latest offer and was shown fully suited in the ‘Icy White’ uniforms.

Hill is no stranger to the Forty Acres, as he made an unofficial visit in late March with another Texas target and the brother of current Longhorn wide receiver Jordan Pouncey, Winter Park (Fla.) cornerback Ethan Pouncey.

The three-star recruit holds well over 20 offers right now, but nearly a month ago Hill decided to close the curtain on his recruitment and verbally committed to South Carolina. He is currently considered a “hard commit” to the Gamecocks, but there isn’t a clear indication on how much interest he has in the Longhorns.
At this time, Texas has only one commitment from a defensive back prospect with a pledge from John Tyler athlete Kitan Crawford. Other than Hill and Pouncey, Five-star Scottsdale (Az.) Saguaro standout Kelee Ringo and four-star Aldine MacArthur playmaker Joshua Eaton continue to be top-notch priorities at cornerback.
At 6’1.5, 176 pounds, Hill is currently ranked as the nation’s No. 833 player and No. 66 cornerback, per the 247Sports Composite.
